Windows defender issue with Mt2009 files

Hello dear players,

Some players have experienced a problem where Windows Defender thinks the game files contain a trojan or another type of malware. I can assure you this is not the case and it is a false alarm.

In order to get over this issue, you can follow these steps:

1. Search for Windows Security and click on it.
   
   
2. Go to Virus & threat protection.
   
   
3. Go to Virus & threat protection settings and click on Manage settings.
   
   
4. Scroll all the way down and click on "Add or remove exclusions".
   
   
5. Click on Add an exclusion and select folder then select the whole Mt2009 folder.
   
   

At this point Windows Defender shouldn't delete anything anymore and you can try to run the patcher in order to play the game. If it still doesn't work, try to run a whole system scan (after you go to step 2 in the guide press Quick scan).
